One of these is the club logo. Currently we have two logo's in use and we would like your help to decide which one we should adopt as the definitive club logo for use on communications, notices, etc:- The 'champions' logo

This was a combined NSCA Midlands Series, sponsored by Allen and CB Coverstore, and NSCA Western Series, Sponsored by GOAT and Dinghy Shac event. The event saw 18 competitors from as far afield as Cornwall and Birmingham have a fantastic day in glorious sunshine and more importantly a good breeze (with some gusts to spice things up a bit).

    Swifty Pursuit

This is a reminder that we are just one week from the start of the new Sunday Swift Pursuit! This will be a friendly not too serious sail for everybody to enjoy, similar in spirit to The Hotdogs, a good race for less confident sailors and the bar will be open afterwards for a sociable drink after the race. With thanks to Paul Kimmens, the 45 min pursuit timer has been set up

The boat is free to hire to members and as like all of our club boats you are required to complete an induction prior to hiring. This new boat will replace our existing Gul.

Improving and Maintaining our lovely Club

As a direct result of listening to members feedback, our SCSC Executive Committee requested the outstanding goodwill of some members to undertake focused maintenance and improvement work at our Club over early-August. This includes: Re-grading the beach to make it easier to haul dinghies from the water and into the dinghy park. Pulling at an angle also helps a lot, as you'll see: Repairing and adding to

    New mooring bouys

By popular demand we now have two new mooring bouys in the lake. The bouys have reasonably large anchor weights attached making them sufficient for mooring a sailing dinghy, paddle board, or RIB. The photo below shows the approximate positions. The video below explains how to use them.

    RS200

The club RS200 is ready for Summer and ready for hire. We've just purchased a shiny new trolley, fitted a new main halyard/cleat/pully, and fitted new toe straps. Towards the end of last year we purchased a new suite of sails and the slot gasket is going to be replaced shortly. This is a fantastic club boat and hire costs are ridiculously low at only £12.50 per session for juniors and £25.00 for adults.

    SUP Safari & Kayak Cruising

Our Lake is a fantastic place to undertake a SUP safari or Kayak cruise in its own right, as well as a great place to practice the skills for when we are paddling further from home. One favourite route is to: Launch from the dinghy beach, turn left and track along the bank underneath the dinghy park. A still day will allow you to see Dragonflies amongst the reeds and other insect life
