2025's Successful SCSC Annual General Meeting
Jo, our outstanding Club Secretary delivered a succesful AGM on 7 Dec 25, helped by Nigel our Treasurer and Blair the Commodore. Many thanks to those attending and allowed us to be quorate. It took an enjoyable 25 minutes and ALL the chocolate biscuits were consumed. Team SCSC at 54th Southport 24 Hour Race 12-14 September 2025
After last year's phenomenal 'under the radar' 10th place result at the 53rd Southport 24 Hour Race, Team SCSC arrived at West Lancs YC on Friday 12 September with high hopes of another Top 10 finish. Traction arrives at SCSC - No more manually pulling RIBs up slipways!
Our Club has now paid for and received a multi Mover tractor which allows the RIBs to be launched and recovered by just two people. A Multi-Mover operator and a crew to help adjust/ steer the trailer as required. These videos give some insights into using the equipment but a proper briefing/ training is required prior to use as the kit is heavy and garages, RIBs and people can be potentially damaged if care

Trial Safety Boat Training Course at South Cerney Sailing Club

SCSC RYA Level Training Update
Last weekend, 26-27 July 25, saw our second scheduled RYA Training weekend of the summer with Adult Level 1, Level 2 and Youth Stage 1 & 2 courses running concurrently. SCSC Scorpions at Lymington Dinghy Regatta 19-20 July 25
Two Scorpions from South Cerney SC competed in the Lymington Dinghy Regatta 2025: 2019 'Popping Polly' (Al Sim/ Fran Neale) and 2001 'Zephyr' (Malcolm James/ Monty Hampton). 63rd Lord Birkett Trophy Regatta at Ullswater YC, 04-06 July 2025
Surrounded by the dramatic mountains of north Cumbria, Ullswater is arguably the most beautiful lake in the Lake District and the second largest in England at almost 9 miles long.
