Transfer of ownership of abandoned trailers at the club. A condition of purchase is that for a period of 12 months from sale, the club may buy the trailer back for the cost of the price paid plus any work done subsequently plus a compensation payment of £10. This is to protect the club in the unlikely event of the owner coming forwards and claiming the trailer.

Sale of this trailer by the club is as per the "Rules of South Cerney Sailing Club" section 9.4:

9.4. Members' Property.
If at any time any fees payable to the club by a member or former member shall be three months or more in arrears:
9.4.1. The committee shall be entitled to move the member's boat(s) (or any related equipment) to any other part of the premises without being liable for any loss or damage to the boat howsoever caused.
9.4.2. The committee may (after one month's notice in writing to the member or former member at the last known address shown in the register of members) sell the boat (or related equipment) and deduct any monies due to the club from the net proceeds of sale before accounting for the balance (if any) to the member or former member.
9.4.3. Alternatively, any boat or related equipment, which in the opinion of the committee cannot be sold, may (after notice as above) be disposed of as the committee think fit and the expenses recovered from the member or former member. Any arrears shall be deemed to be a debt owing to the club by the member or former member.
9.4.4. Further, the club shall at all times have a lien over members' or former members' boats on the premises in respect of all monies due.
