RYA First Aid Course
This 1-day RYA-accredited course will provide students with the skills and confidence to respond to accident and emergency situations resulting from boating activities both on and off the water. The course syllabus is recognised by the RYA and will be delivered in the classroom by a fully qualified First Aid practitioner. Key topics covered include CPR, cold water shock, hypothermia, bleeding, drowning and medical emergencies at sea as described in the RYA First Aid Book (FAB), an A4 copy of which will be given to each student at the start of the course.
On successful completion students will be issued with a formal RYA certificate which is valid for three years. This course is suitable for those aged 16 and above.
