Dowty Turbocraft Anniversary Event

The event commences at 10.30 am and finishes at 3pm.Attendees will be able to sail in a Dowty Turbocraft boat which seats five people. The boat is called Rowdy Dowty and was once owned by a nephew of Sir George Dowty. Appropriate insurance will be arranged.
A 14' 9" Dowty Turbocraft powered by a Ford Zephyr 2500 cc straight 6 cylinder engine being demonstrated on the River Thames in London, circa 1958.
Numbers will be limited to 50
Car parking at the lake is limited to 20 cars of which 10 places will be occupied by Jaguars of the period when Donald Campbell promoted the boat.
Donald was a Jaguar enthusiast and was given a 1962 MK 2 Jaguar 3.8 as part of his remuneration package. There is other parking nearby.
Toilet facilities will be available.
This is a unique opportunity to see the only significant public facing product the Dowty Group produced 60 years after the Dowty Marine business closed, the setting is idyllic.
