South Cerney SC - Extraodinary General Meeting 28/08/2022

The Executive Committee request your attendance at an Extraordinary General Meeting to be held on 28th August in the Clubhouse at 13:15.

The purpose is to ratify recommended changes to the Club Articles and Rules to change the status of the club to a Charitable Company, Limited by Guarantee.

Currently the club is a Company (Limited by Guarantee). The principal reason for doing this is to mitigate the tax costs being incurred since the club lost Community Amateur Sports Club tax relief in 2016, it would also improve the club's access for funding to support our activities.

Note:

For those wishing to vote but unable to attend the EGM on Sunday 28th August, please email your vote to the Club Secretary (scsc@joandnick.plus.com).

When voting by email:

1. Please put 'EGM - Proxy vote' in the subject line.

2. Make clear who it is who is voting.

3. Vote on the two issues:

a. Articles - Either 'approve' or 'Not approve' the proposed changes.

b. Rules/ Bylaws - Either 'approve' or 'Not approve' the proposed changes.

Proxy votes must be received by the Club Secretary by 11.59pm on Saturday 27th August 2022.
