What to Bring with you

The following applies to all Sailing and Powerboat Courses where participants will need to bring with them:

Warm Clothing

A complete change of clothes to include underwear and footwear.

Depending on the weather more or less can be worn but the following list should cater for all weather conditions. In very cold weather multiple thin layers are better than one thick one. It is important to stay warm and dry but you will also need to be comfortable and able to move easily around the boat

Warm pullovers fleeces etc.
Fleecy tracksuit trousers
Towel
Hats
Waterproof Coat (lightweight)
Waterproof Trousers (lightweight) if possible
Deck shoes or old trainers
Warm socks
Neck towel or scarf
A means to secure spectacles if worn

If you have a wet suit or dry suit then this would be a useful addition depending on the weather.

Safety Equipment

If you have your own buoyancy aid or lifejacket please feel free to bring it but these can be provided.

Other Equipment

A pen or pencil and a notebook will be useful for taking notes.

Food

Warm drinks can be made on site and refreshments are available on Saturday and Sunday, or you may prefer to bring lunch and snacks with you.
