SCSC Powerboat Courses

  



National Powerboat Certificate (Level 1 & 2 combined)

  • Learn the skills and background knowledge to be a competent powerboat driver. Includes launching, mooring, anchoring and recovery, plus all the boat-driving skills required for basic competence in different types of powerboat.
  • Previous experience required: none.
  • Ability after the course - competent power boat driver

Safety Boat (Level 3)

  • For people who use powerboats to provide support and safety cover for water sports including sailing, windsurfing and canoeing. Training is “hands-on” and includes some advanced boat handling, rescue techniques, dinghy and windsurfer recovery, elements of race management, mark laying.
  • Previous experience required: Level 2 Powerboat.
  • Provide safety boat cover for races and general sailing.

09.00-1700 Saturday; 09-13:00 Sunday

Course fees: non-members £175. Includes RYA Logbook, certificate, all course materials.
